Percy Walmsley's WW1 postcard album - #40

Percy Walmsley’s WW1 Postcard Album – #40

One of a number of cards in Percy’s collection showing before-and-after bombardment damage to a French church.

The location of the church is not known.  On this card and some of the others, the name of the town has been scratched out; presumably by British censors, to prevent the postition of army units becoming known to the Germans should the post be intercepted.
